Dave has been a litigator in Sacramento for 40 years. Dave started his career at Diepenbrock, Wulff, Plant & Hannegan, where he practiced for 15 years. He has been AV rated for more than 30 years. Dave has litigated complex litigation on behalf of Aerojet, and has tried a number of insurance bad faith, toxic tort, medical malpractice, and complex business litigation matters. For the past 20 years, Dave has specialized in elder abuse litigation.

He attended California State University, Fresno, where he was student body president. He worked in the legislature for three years before attending law school at UC Davis. As a second year law student, Dave was part of a two person team that won the regional National Appellate Advocacy competition sponsored by the American Bar Association. Dave went on to compete in the national finals in Chicago.

He was President of the Barristers Club and an officer of the Sacramento County Bar Council. He was Vice President of the Federal Bar Association. For more than 10 years, Dave presented the CEB program, Recent Developments in Civil Litigation.

Dave is an avid skier and golfer. He climbed Half Dome in Yosemite before deciding he did not want to tempt fate any further. Dave has spent hundreds of days in Yosemite, and enjoys back country skiing. Dave regularly swims and rides his bike. He is an avid Niners and Giants fan. He has a very big stereo and enjoys loud music.
